Torture underground cells in Beirut Airport and Minister Rifi transmitted the file to the Public Prosecutor

Minister of Justice Ashraf Rifi transmitted an article published in Asharq Al-Awsat on 26/3/2014 by Hussein Shabukshi, containing a case of arrest and perpetration at Rafic Hariri International Airport (Beirut Airport), to the Public Prosecution Department, to conduct the necessary investigation and take the appropriate legal action.

Hussein wrote in his article: A wife’s brother-known doctor resident in Jeddah, was preparing herself to travel from Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut to Jeddah, and while she was at the airport, she was surprised by two men dressed in civilian clothes asking her to go with them to review the security, then they passed by a strange underground exit.

Shabukshi also mentioned: The woman was informed that she is in the custody of the private security of Hezbollah and that there is a set of queries that are in need of answers from her. She spent 72 hours with them but under the ground, and the flight she was supposed to be on had already arrived to Jeddah without her which made her husband worried. The woman also confirmed that there are other detainees who are exposed to torture confirmed by screams and sounds of pain from the underground cells.
